The problem

Falling behind is scary. You're not overreacting.

Traditional tutoring can be hard to fit.Fixed appointments and added travel do not work for every family.
Practice without direction wastes time.Rewards alone do not show what a student should work on next.
Every week stuck compounds.Miss fractions, and percents, ratios, and algebra all wobble.

How it works

From stuck to a clear next step in one focused session.

1
Snap the problem they're stuck on.

A photo, a paste, or just type it. In seconds they get a step-by-step that explains the why, not just the answer, then hands it back so it actually sticks.

2
We check for signs of an earlier gap.

A quick starting estimate samples current, earlier, and more advanced skills. The plan keeps adjusting as the student practices, so one short placement does not become a permanent label.

3
They learn on a feed they want to use.

Short, adaptive lessons that feel familiar, plus an AI tutor on call. The dashboard shows what they practiced, how they answered, and what needs more work.

A solved answer is not the same as learning.

SmartScroll gives them practice taking the next step themselves.

Safe by design

Everything you want. None of what you fear.

No ads. No data selling.

We are not an attention business. Your student is the customer, never the product.

No strangers, no DMs.

There is no social network here. No messaging, no comments from anyone but the tutor.

A clear goal, then a choice.

Each day has a visible learning target and a natural stopping point. Students who want more can choose another focused run.

You're always in control.

See their progress any time, and read exactly how we handle data in our privacy policy.

Our promise

The algorithm works for your student, not against them.

We optimize what they learn, never how long they stay.

The feed is ranked by what your student needs to master next, not by whatever keeps them scrolling. There is no engagement-maximizing algorithm here.

It makes completion visible.

A daily goal and natural stopping points tell students when the day's learning is done. Continuing is an explicit choice, not infinite autoplay.

Honest billing, always.

See the programThe AI Tutoring Program (structured, scheduled sessions guided by Lumi, the AI tutor) is $49.95/mo, or $99.95/mo for the whole family with unlimited sessions. The app is $19.95/mo for all six subjects, the AI tutor, and snap-to-solve. The Tutoring Program is $49.95 a month for three structured AI-guided sessions each week. Every plan has a 14-day free trial, and a free demo lets you try everything once first. Grades 6–12 math is complete: the whole ladder, middle school through calculus-ready. The whole middle school plus every high-school course (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus) forms one practice map with unlimited practice. Learning and practice also reach grades 6–12 in Spanish, grades 6–12 in Finance, grades 6–12 in History, grades 6–12 in Science, and grades 6–12 in English. Coverage varies by subject and skill, the tutoring sessions are deepest in math today, and educator review continues.

Questions parents ask

Good questions. Straight answers.

Is it actually safe for my student?

No ads, no data selling, no strangers, and no messaging with anyone but the tutor. We collect as little as possible and you can read exactly how in our privacy policy. It is built to respect a young learner, not to hook them.

What ages and grades is it for?

SmartScroll is centered on the middle-school years, roughly grades 6 to 8 (ages 11 to 14), and includes learning and practice across Math, Science, History, English, Spanish (reading & writing), and personal Finance for grades 6–12. Math includes material through Precalculus (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus). Coverage varies by subject and skill while our educator review continues.

Does it actually teach, or is it just games?

The rewards sit around a real learning loop: worked examples, retrieval practice, spaced review, guided questions, and explaining ideas in the student's own words. The dashboard reports demonstrated practice and retention checks, not a guaranteed grade or a clinical score.

Do I have to sign up or pay to try it?

No. The demo needs no account or card and runs right in the browser. It includes a day of the feed, one homework solve, tutor messages, and a sample tutoring session.

Can they use it on a phone, tablet, or laptop?

Any of them. It works in any modern browser, and you can add it to the home screen so it opens like a normal app.

How is this different from a homework solver like Photomath?

SmartScroll is designed to continue past an answer: it explains the method, asks the student to try the thinking, and routes related practice into their learning plan. That structure supports learning, but it does not guarantee understanding from one solve.

Can I use it for more than one child?

Yes. Each child gets their own profile, with separate progress, path, and streak. If they share one device, a built-in “Who’s learning” switcher moves between them, so their learning never mixes, and each child links to your account. The Full Program (Best) covers up to 3 students on one account; the app and the Tutoring Program plans are for one student. Your family page lists every linked student in one place.
