IXL is an adaptive skills-practice platform organized around question sets and worked explanations. The catalog is large, standards-tagged, and used in a lot of schools. That is a real product.
You are buying practice. You are not buying a tutor that teaches the method in conversation, a photo homework helper, or a short daily feed built for grades 6–12. Those are different jobs that sometimes get sold with the same word, "learning app."
When it is worth it
It is worth it when a student will do question sets, the family wants a broad drill catalog, and a teacher or parent is already naming the skill to practice. A large library is useful when you already know what to open.
